Bolga Lunch Baskets
Hand-woven in the historic town of Bolgatanga, Ghana in West Africa. The weavers are mostly farmers who supplement their income by making and selling baskets. Women, men and children all participate in the process.
The baskets are made from straw obtained from elephant grass. They are colored with plant extracts and do not stain or run. Treated leather from goats' hide is used for the hand finishing of the handles.
Each basket is approximately 8" across the top and 5" tall.
